About Kinder Art

I started my business back in 1998 when I had completed my Bachelor of Visual Arts majoring in Photography.

Before this I studied at Seaforth TAFE, completing my Certificate in Art Photography and partially completing a certificate in Fine art before being accepted into Griffith University, Queensland College of Arts Brisbane.

I taught at both High schools and University, teaching photographic darkroom techniques and experimental photographic techniques.

I also secured an artist in residence at Brisbane boys grammar, and taught weekly at West Moreton Anglican college and Stuartholme school for girls and at QCA College of the Arts Griffith University.  I also worked at the Australian Archives, where I printed a photographic collection of 18,000 glass plate negatives.

Once I returned to Sydney, I realised what I really love to do was to teach children art.

I have exhibited in 5 Manly Warringah Art exhibitions and had many solo exhibitions on the Northern Beaches and in Brisbane.

My classes are creative, fun and inspiring, where we explore all kinds of great art mediums and materials and using all kinds of techniques.  We screen print, printmaking, sculpt, paint, draw and collage.

Within my own art works I very simply re-create.  I like to find things that I can use and give another life to. I am a photographer and mixed media artist who lives and works with all that is around me, whether it is something I have found to reinvent or painting a canvas.  I love it all.

AboutKinderart2This is where it all began – my love for art started at a very early age. My mum helped set up a local community centre where I attended many holiday classes.  This photo is from one of them.
